Staff is extremely helpful.
It is a 20 cab ride from downtown, the cab drivers use a flat rate. For some reason returning from the city to the hotel is btwn 11 and 15 bucks (metered). . It may still be more cost-effective (haven't done the math) compared to staying downtown, but I missed the ease of not having a commute. Not many things to see, hotel isnt in a good part of the city, so can't really venture outside. Would recommend if you just need a place to rest your head while exploring new orleans. Tip: hotel is in jefferson parish, getna, louisiana. cabs need to know this even from the airport. The airport shuttle doesn't go there as well.
reception staff particularly helpful and understanding of 'foreign' visitors
Relaxed and attended a conference.
The toilettries and the bedding.
I had a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn New Orleans West Bank Tower. The room was clean and beautiful. The staff was polite and very helpful catered to our needs greatly.... I will stay here for Mardi Gras !!!
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds were so comfortable. Also liked that they had a little store instead of a vending machine.
I was very in pleased with the staff. I came to the front desk three times during my stay and there was never a manager on duty that I could speak with. I was surprised and disappointed that it would be an extra cost for a roll away bed I have never heard of anything like that. Before I came to check in I called the hotel to let them know that I would be running late the lady who answered the phone said it would be okay she did not ask for any of my information instead I told her I would feel more comfortable if she did less than 10 minutes later I get a call from the hotel asking if I was still going to check in I was extremely irritated by that because I felt like the staff had no sense to let a supervisor or manager know that a guest called about a reservation. The room was nice bathroom was small. I wanted to write a letter to corporate and complain but maybe this will work more efficiently
The room was large and clean. Free WiFi. Good view from my window. It would make a perfectly adequate base for exploring New Orleans if the budget doesn't stretch to one of the much nicer hotels in the downtown area.
The location isn't great if you don't have a car. Taxis into the city are fairly expensive. There is a bus stop very nearby, but the buses stop fairly early at night and are not very regular on the weekend. The restaurant is basic and doesn't have a lot of atmosphere.
Big and comfortable room nearby restaurant people friendly Not to far from downtown (arround usd 35 the 2 way fares with taxi)
Extremely noisy, particularly when room in front of highway : Earplugs needed !
Access to the highway. Everyone was friendly. Looked like a very safe place to stay. In the cafe/grille, many locals must come their regularly, because the staff new them by name.
There were plenty of parking spots, when we were there, but I don't know what it would be like, if there was a large event.
The staff were the friendliest we have met in awhile. They offered to help us at every turn. Lobby Ambassador, Carliss Bailey, was wonderfully pleasant to greet each morning. The location wasn't in the city but was easy to access the bridge and reach the city.
There were no convince stores and only 1 restaurant within walking distance. Since we left, I have been trying to reach your accounting with a question on my bill and they do not return my calls.
Nice to be able to eat on premise. Cleaning people and desk staff were very nice and friendly
Charged 3 times for this room. I eventually got 1 fixed. I have talked to the hotel several times and keep being told I need to talk to accounting. I gave left 5 messages since January 11 and still have not received a return call.
The room was very nice, and spacious. Otherwise this was a great hotel and I would absolutely recommend it.
We were pleasantly surprised because the cost was very reasonable. The only downfall to this room is the distance from "The French Quarter." We were unable to get back to our room for an hour from downtown once we were ready to go. This is no fault of the hotel but if you plan on hanging out downtown at night, you may want a closer room or you may want to drive.
I loved the setup of my room, it was modern and comfortable. Bourbon St was less than 10 mins away! I would definitely stay there again!
It was close to the areas that I wanted to visit.
I was sooooooo close to the freeway. I got absolutely no sleep. All I heard was traffic. Cars, trucks, motorcycle, buses all day and night long.
